During the bushfires in Victoria in 2009, we had a larger number than usual of native birds visiting us in search of food and water. Since then, the wild bird population is back to normal, so I'm focussing more on our aviary birds for this blog.

ReplyDeletewow. that is amazing. i am not surprised really. i have noticed more lorikeets in my area. i am sure that is a direct result of the bushfires as well. are they still visiting?
ReplyDeletewow how awesome....I love Kookaburras and used to get them at our old house...haven't seen any down here in South Australia since we have been here....cant wait to get back home to Qld to see and hear them again....hugs Khris
